NEW POWERFUL IRIS TILT CONTROLLER FOR SOLAR TRACKERS ALLOWS ADJUSTMENT OF SOLAR PANEL ANGLES TO ACHIEVE MAXIMUM LIGHT INTENSITY
The Fredericks Company, a leading ISO 9001:2008 registered manufacturer of precision sensors and custom glass components, has announced availability of their new IRIS Tilt Controller for Solar Trackers.
Available in a high gain version +10° (20° span), standard version +25°(50° span), and wide angle version +50° (100° span), IRIS enables measurement and command of tilt movement in any direction with reference to the unchanging gravity vector. IRIS can be used to adjust solar panel angles to achieve maximum light intensity and power levels, detect misaligned panels, and use IRIS control features to drive them back to optimal power production.
IRIS detects angular position with an on board electrolytic tilt sensor with no mechanical moving parts to break or wear out. Standard firmware includes five(5) user directions. When a selected threshold is reached, the circuitry sets the output high on a pin in the H3 control connector. Three additional, powerful control outputs are also available for custom applications.
